Willowtail Springs and Honeybees

In five days it will be an honor to head to Willowtail Springs as an artist in residence sponsored by the Durango Arts Center! I am so grateful for this opportunity!

While in residence I will study pollinators and work on a series of drawings -detailed studies of the honeybee, representational paintings of fertility and the human condition.  Stay posted for illustrations, bees in art and updates from Willowtail Springs!

xx

From time to time I get to work on a large canvas... this painting currently in the studio is 5 feet tall, 6.5 feet wide and loving layer upon layer of pigment!
